Quick link to my photography galleries. Mostly stuff I’m posting for other folks to get to…might be interesting to see I guess. I started taking pictures seriously about 2 years ago although I’ve been into photography for a long time.

I started with a Canon 20d and fell in love with the art of it all. As a graphic designer and web designer, it was a big benefit to be able to do my own portraits, architecture or interesting photos for my design work. Since then it’s grown into a full-time interest. It will probably never be my job and I might not ever make a dime off a phot I take but I love to wander around looking for that next image.

Having grown from my 20d to a Nikon D200 and then to a Nikon D2x I actually defied logic and sold out to Sigma. That’s not quite working out as well as I had hoped but I’m still capable of getting my shots. It takes about twice as much effort to get the perfect shot and I’m usually a lot more tense when shooting but I am happy with the occasional magical shot I get.

New Nikkor 50mm 1.4f

I switched to a Nikon D200. Although, I liked the 20d for some of it’s simplicity. The Nikon color rendition is more true to life. I’ve always got Aperture or Lightroom to saturate my photos.

Anyway, setting my course for a new D3. We all have to have goals, big or small right?

These are a couple of photos using my new Nikkor 50mm 1.4f. OK bokah, nice low light capabilities. That’s a crazy depth of field though. It makes 2.8f seem wide…
